Types of Motor Insurance

Third Party Only (TPO)
This type of motor insurance protects the policyholder against damage to a third party or to the third party's property. To illustrate, in case of a vehicular accident, the TPO pays only for the medical claims or injuries suffered by the occupant of the other vehicle, and for the repaid of the said vehicle. It will not cover payment for the repair of your own vehicle. This is also true when your vehicle is stolen or destroyed by fire.
Third Party Fire & Theft (TPF & T)
This type of motor insurance has the same coverage as a TPO, but with the additional payment coverage in the event that your vehicle is stolen or damaged by fire.
Comprehensive
In this type of motor insurance, the policy will pay out for third party injuries or damages, or if your vehicle is stolen or set on fire, and for damage to your own vehicle.
